Indoor and outdoor range control systems
Meggitt Training Systems believes that range operation should never be inhibited by shortcomings in range communication. It is for this reason that a number of options are available for legacy as well as current and future indoor and outdoor range designs.
Range Audio and Visual Communications
Meggitt Training Systems provides an array of efficient audio and visual communication systems to enhance the safety on your range. Using Aiphone® communication systems, range operator and shooters can easily communicate with each other, allowing the operator to monitor changing safety conditions on the range in real-time. Options include a Digital Video Remote Station or Remote Audio Communications, all with the ability to mix and match up to 11 components to create a customized communication solution right for your range.
For computer controlled ranges, Meggitt uses its RangeMaster 9000 (RM9K) and RangeMaster 10K (RM10K) family of devices. RangeMaster™ is a Microsoft Windows® based software application developed by Meggitt. Most target commands are entered with a simple click of the mouse or selected from drop-down menus. Scenarios can be written directly on the RangeMaster™ computer or on any other computer using common word processing software.
RangeMaster 9000 (RM9K) range controller
RangeMaster™ 9000 (RM9K) is a menu-driven, Windows® based system that controls targetry, security systems, ventilation, and lighting. It allows instructors and range personnel to write and store training scenarios that can be downloaded to an individual control unit at the firing line or operated from a central control booth.
RangeMaster™ 10K (RM10K) range controller
Meggitt Training Systems revolutionized range operations by developing the RangeMaster 10K (RM10K) control system that allows instructors to leave the control room while still retaining complete control of the shooting lanes. The RM10K combines touch screen technology and wireless communication to give instructors unprecedented control from any location in the range.
Handheld wireless devices provide the portability to allow instructors full automation of the range while interacting with the shooters at the line. With the RM10K, range operators are no longer confined to a control room, so more time can be devoted to firearms instruction rather than range management.
