Meggitt Training Systems returns to Warrior Expo East with virtual and live-fire equipment.

Suwanee, GA – Meggitt Training Systems will highlight its range of virtual and live-fire weapons training systems for military and law enforcement organizations at Warrior Expo East 2019. The event will be held July 10-11, 2019 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, Va.

“Readiness training to counter new threats to U.S. and allied forces has never been more important and Meggitt delivers through our industry-leading range of virtual, live-fire and integrated solutions,” said Andrea Czop, vice president of strategy, sales and marketing for Meggitt Training Systems. “Warrior Expo East attendees are invited to see how the portable FATS® 100P, as well as our live-fire Stationary Infantry Target and LOMAH products can help armed forces train effectively, from simulator to the firing range.”

The FATS 100P features advanced functionality for both instructor and trainee, delivering weapon handling and shot placement analytics, marksmanship automatic coaching tools, video-based judgmental training for de-escalation of force and enhanced graphic capabilities, all in a compact package. Portable and light, the FATS 100P comes in two rugged hand-carry cases the size of a large range bag that allow easy transportation, set-up and operation by one person. Up to six weapon simulators, including Meggitt’s patented wireless BlueFire®, can be run simultaneously.

Meggitt’s Stationary Infantry Target (SIT) is a remote-controlled pop-up target actuator, capable of supporting a variety of target silhouettes. The lightweight and portable target adapts to a variety of range environments, infrastructures and operational constraints, and does not contain hydraulic fluids, contaminants or hazardous toxins. The LOMAH (location of miss and hit) system adds shot scoring by measuring the precise time of a bullet’s supersonic shock wave passing over a ballistically protected microphone sensor array. Triangulation of sound waves for hit location makes Meggitt’s offering unique in this market, computing the bullet’s location and presenting a graphical image on the shooter’s firing point computer. The bullet’s measured location provides the shooter the information needed to accurately display shot grouping and zeroing of weapons more effectively, resulting in improved marksmanship skills. LOMAH can be installed easily via a retrofit kit or on new, LOMAH-capable Meggitt targets such as the SIT.
