Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office to evaluate Meggit’s FATS® 300LE virtual training system.
Gwinnett County, GA – We’re excited to announce that the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office has been selected as a test site to evaluate the Meggitt FATS® 300LE virtual training system. We invite you to our Media Open House on Thursday, August 16th at 10 am to learn how we’ll utilize this cutting edge technology to enhance our training.
The FATS 300LE provides a 300° immersive training environment with high-definition and 5.1 surround sound to train law enforcement in use of force evaluations and de-escalation tactics for real world situations.
This impressive training system delivers true-to-life, comprehensive training and we welcome the opportunity for you to experience it for yourself.
Sheriff Butch Conway says, “This state-of-the art technology will help improve judgmental skills and allow our deputies enhanced scenario training in critical areas, such as interacting with individuals with mental health issues, which can be vital in de-escalating situations.”
Any media planning to attend the Media Open House should RSVP and plan to meet in the jail lobby at 9:45 am for an escort back to the training area.
